I have currently earned 8 points for today and now i am finishing up with14 points which is really good. For this activity was about Making a DLO that the summer learning journey has provided as to inform other people about what the charity that you have chosen do. I really like this activity because of how I got to learn something new from a charity on how they save people from being stranded in the middle of the ocean.

Activity 3: Scaling New Heights

ReplyDeleteGreat work of starting the Summer Learning Journey activities. I've liked how you have explained what you did for this SLJ activity. Something I found interesting, was that the Air rescue charity, has 13,000 successful missions. I have also found found out some interesting information about the Air rescue.

Kia Ora Matthew! All of the charities seemed really helpful. That's amazing how many people they've rescued! - It's scary being lost out in the middle of what could be danger. Well done on doing your research!

ReplyDeleteWell done for creating an interesting DLO about the Air Rescue. I’m sure the Air Rescue charity has been very helpful during the White Island tragedy. Have you ever watched the TV show, Piha Rescue? Sometimes the rescue helicopter is on there taking someone to the hospital quickly. I think they use the helicopters because they can get to the injured person quicker than an ambulance because they fly there directly instead of going on the road. Do you think you would want to fly the Rescue helicopter when you are older?

ReplyDeleteI liked how you chose a charity that most people wouldn't have. I think air rescues are very important because they can get in and out of places faster than cars, they can also go to places that cars wouldn't be able to reach. Would you want to fly one of those rescue helicopters?
