WWF

L.I: Is to learn ways to protect animals. This week for the summer learning journey task I had to learn about animals. With summer learning journey I had to find different information that the summer learning journey gave us. I watched two videos where this company WWF was protecting endangered animals, the animals they were helping were the Tigers and Freshwater Seals. The way they helped the animals is that, they make sure they make places to lay there babies.

DOC rangers

L.I: Is to learn about DOC Ranger. This week for summer learning journey I was learning about DOC rangers, with DOC rangers they go all around the world to help animals, I also have to tell 3 reasons on three pros (good things) and three cons (bad things) about working as a DOC ranger. So one reason I would want to be a DOC ranger is that I can see different animals that I have never seen, another  reason is when I see animals I could play with them and maybe see an animal smile for the first time, and the last reason is that I can travel around the world. Now for the bad reason, one is that I might encounter an animal that bites people. Another reason is that there might be poisonous animals that I might have to meet, and the last reason is that I would have to pay taxes.

Fantastic Beasts

L.I: Is to make a my own imaginative beast. This week for the summer learning journey task I had to make my own beast. The abilities of my own beast is that it can climb like a monkey it can stick on to wall like spider man he can kill animals with his poisonous farts. The name of my beast is tynail.

L.I: Is to talk about a famous person life. For Inquiry I had to get into a group and make a google slide worth of 3 weeks of work about our person Martin Luther king Jr. First we had to make a google slide and put the History,philosophy, how we can applied it to our class and the biology and also make a quiz about it.

Weird and Wonderful

L.I: Is to learn how much water cactus get a year. This week for the summer learning journey I was learning how much water cactus get a year. I solved this by the company of the summer learning journey giving us clues on how much they get a day and all I needed to do is to find how many days in a year so then I could multiply it to get the answer: 1096 equation: 3 x 365.

L.I: Is to find teams that have ferns in the name and the uni form. This week for summer learning journey I had to find 3 teams that had ferns in there name, I also had to find the uniform for the team. From this task I learnt the different teams that have ferns in New Zealand.

Giants Among Us

L.I: Is to choose weather to go or not to Tāne Mahuta. This week for summer learning journey I had to choose weather to go or not to Tāne Mahuta. I choose to go, one reason I want to go is that because I have never ever seen this tree and I want to get out of the house because..... I don't have anything else to do, the second reason why I want to go is because I want to see how tall it is in person, and the final reason why I want to go is because I like to go and see new things and learn about then only if they have an information baord.

L.I: Is talk about my home town. In my home town tamaki makaurau. The cool thing in my home town is that I am the best high jumper as a year 6 in tamaki makaurau, and something that is so special about my home town is that I can hang out with my family.

Maori


L.I:Is to learn parts of the country new Zealand. This week for Maori I was learning the parts in  maori by searching the place and find it in English. First I had to make a copy of a google doc that out teacher fire odie made with all the maori places in New Zealand. Then I had to research all the places and find the hemisphere of that place.

Kiwi Can


L.I: Is to have fun. This week LS1 group B went to Kiwi Can since this was the last kiwi can for this year we did a fun week where we just played games. The first game we played was 6 second tag. The rules of the game is simple, there would be every one scattered around the room and then the instructor of the game would have to point at you and then you would have to try and get every one out.

The next game is simple the name of it is invisible touch. The of this game is simple there would be 2 teams on each side of the court, and there would be and instructor that would call a number and what ever number she/he says then that is how are running.

The last game we played is called octopus, the rules of this game is simple there would be 2 taggers and every one on one side of the court and then the instructor will call out something that someone  is wearing like a colour.

Basic Facts

L.I: Is to learn about Basic Facts.
This week I did Basic facts. I used basic facts with a game named Prototec. This helps me with questions that are worthy for my age that is why they have stages standing for the ages.

Athletics Day



L.I: Is the be athletic. This week for athletics we were doing different competitions where in our school they choose the best people to compete so there is 50m, 75m, 100m, and 400m races. There are also ball throw, discus, long jump, high jump, and shot put. The first thing I did was the sprints there were so much fast runners but Imaneged to come third but never got into the finals. When it was time for the discus throw the position I cam in was 6th. 

After that it was the high jump there was really good players but then I cam 3rd place.
The next activity I did was shot put. It was really hard but with the other contenders they throw like about 9.432m and me and Viliami threw in the 6's and 7's but then we never came anything. The last thing to do was long jumping. I tried my best but I didn't get in.

Martin Luthur King jr

L.I: Is to research about Martin Luther King jr.
This week for inquiry I was learning about Martin Luther king. Me, Lukah, and Juel researched about Martin Luther King jr. He is a civil rights leader and he also stopped the racism going around in the U.S.A.

L.I: to find and make examples of words. This week for reading I was learning different words that could fit into, find (picture), draw, animate, and act. to know if a word fits into act or animate it would have to be a verb because it is an action word, so if we take a verb and put it as a find then it wouldn't make sense because it won't be able to move so then we use a noun.

Kiwi Sport


L.I: Is to learn all the skills we have learnt and put them together.
This week for kiwi sport, LS1 group B went to do boxing with our coach Pax. First we had to get into partners. after that we would want to choose who could be a number 1 or 2 between the both of us.  then we had to learn some skills that   we never learnt for our last day. once we had done that we would have to switch with the person who has the gloves and who has the noddles. Once everybody has done that then we would have to pack away the equipment and get into lines were we have even spaces to do the skills that we had learnt from the past month and put them all together. So then it was the last day of boxing and for the last day we took a picture to remind we had the best coach ever.

Subtraction


L.I: Is to subtract using algorithm. This week for maths I had to make a an algorithm poster about how to subtract using the strategy. First I had to use my prior knowledge to work out the equation of what I was going to be explaining.Then I had to make a google drawing showing the main steps of using algorithm. like trading numbers to make an even number where it doesn't come to the negatives.

L.I: Is to learn about PEACE. This week for Inquiry I was learning about PEACE. First I had to make a group of 5 and then split it with 3 and 2. Next we had to make a google slide where we had to make some vocabulary about a picture. After that we had to make our words that we made into a sentence describing the picture.

Kiwi Can

L.I: Is learn about respecting our environment. First We played a game named snake, the rules of the game is simple there would be one tagger and they would have to lay on there stomach and then they would have to try and tag the people that is standing, and if they get tagged then they would have to be a snake with the king of snakes.

The next game we played was called tic tac toe, the rules of this is simple as well. First There would be 9 chairs in a row layed out good. and there would be even teams with 5. After that 2 teams would be called out to face each other.

The Last game we played was GKQ The rules of the game is simple, there would be every one in a circle then there would be one person going around the circle challenging people with questions that you have to answer.


Smart Surfing

L.I: Is to learn how to be safe on the internet. This week for cybersmart we were learning about how to be secure on the internet. First I had to learn information about how to be secure on the internet on a game. After that I had to make a google form where I had to make my own question about the knowledge that I know and turn it into a question.

This week for reading I was learning how to infer emotions from a video. well watching the video I would have to find hints in the short film and gather clues to come up with an idea. After that I had to look at the video and get the little birds and the big birds emotions from the actions they were showing and there thoughts like for an example his frown is upside down, so then I could tell that he could be sad.

Kiwi Sport

                        Kiwi Sport (Boxing)
L.I: Is to learn how to do defence. This week LS1 group B went to kiwi sport. First We had to get into partners. After that one of our partner has to go and grab a pair of gloves, So once we had done that the other partner has to go and get a noodle.

After that The person that had gloves they would have to do some skills to the noodle that has been shown by our couch, and the skill is named guard. Guard is when you have to connect your fist together and then place them on your four head.

Next we learnt another skill named bridge, the skill bridge is when your partner outs the noodle on your shoulder well you are bending your legs and also ducking under the noodle making an U Shape. This helps you with your defence because it helps you dodge people's punch's.

SSR selfie

L.I: Is to give information about a book. This week for my SSR selfie I had to make a one slide about my book that I had read. First I had to gather up the main information in the book. After that I had to make a summery about the hole book in a little explanation.

WW1

L.I: Is to learn about trenches and insects that were in WW1. This week for inquiry I was learning about world WW1 (world war 1). First I had to make a copy of a google slide that had blank spaces that I had to fill in. Then I had to write information about what main parts of a trench is and the insects. One of the insects where rats, rats were a very big issue because the rats they always ate the soldier or even them.

Addition

                        
L.I: Is to learn how to use addition in strategy. This week I was learning how to use Addition in different strategy's like place value. First I had to make a google slide. Then I had to make a lesson about how to use place value and tidy numbers. After that I had to add information about how to split numbers so that it adds up to what I want it to be.

Inferring


LI: to infer information. This week for reading I was learning about Inferring. First I had to make a copy of a google slide that had pictures where I have to infer from the pictures on what they are doing or what the scenes are about. Then I had to add information telling what that weather is like in the picture and give my evidence and then I had to make an arrow showing what item I am talking about.

Kiwi Can


L.I: Is to learn to respect. This week LS1 group B went to kiwi can. First we played a game named save your legs, the rules of the game is simple a group of people has to get into a circle and every one has to have an even amount of space to spread there legs, but there will also be a ball were someone will have and then every one would have to get it into somebody's legs to make them out but at the same time you have to protect your self.

After that we played another game named hand soccer, the rules of this game is simple, there would be 2 even teams and there would be a ghoul on each side and then every body will get a number and once the instructor of the game has said 3 or less numbers then they would have to run around the ghoul and try beat the other team.

It was almost the end of our kiwi can lesson and we played a game named GKQ (master), These  rules are really simple like the other ones so every body would have to go into a circle, and there would be one person that would have to go around challenging any body with questions

Maori


L.I: Is to learn about Maori. This week LS1 group B went to Maori. First we had to make a google drawing, but the very first thing we did was to get into pairs, my pair was Mojtaba. So once we got into a pair we had to get numbered of from 1 to 10 and our number was 2. Then we had to make a google drawing, in the google drawing we had to find 4 fruits and write them in Maori, banana, grape, and Mandarin.

Boxing


L.I: Is to learn about the skills in boxing. This week LS1 group B went to kiwi sport (Boxing). First We had to put on some gloves and get a partner. After that we were learning how to do some combo's by mixing the skills that we learnt from the past 4 weeks or so. Then one of your partners had to get one noodle to hold for the person that you are with, then after that we would want to try out the combo's by hitting the noodle. This can also help with your acrasy for were you aim because it is thin and it is also a target that is smaller than a person body.

Touch


L.I: Is to try our best in touch. This week LS1 and LS2 went to the touch inter school. Every one had 5 games challenging schools but not every school. First we challenged stone fields basically the best touch players of all, but for the year 7's and 8's they were doing really good well playing against them.

After that we had a little brake for the hard work, the score from the last game we had was 0-7. Once we had our rest we challenged another team named syilver park we tried our best but we didn't win we also didn't get any goals.

Once we all finished our games of touch we all went back to school but sadly the year 6 that was me lost every game and only got the total score of all our games that was but with the year 5's they only one 1 game.



Quatrefoil


L.I: Is to learn how to do creative art work. This week LS1 did art work about Max Gimblett. First We had to make a plan about our art to make it. Then we had to make each art about Max Gimblett, Christmas, and armistice. After that we had to work out the layout for our reasons of why we used those colours for the quatrefoils.

L.I: Is to learn about Max gimblett's art. This week LS1 had to make a art. First we had to design our art on a google drawing that would give us a plan of what are view of prospective is. After that we had to make our max gimblett design on the big piece of paper and put our armesist art on the medium paper and last but the Christmas art on the small piece of paper.

Manaikalani Film Festival

l.I: Is to learn different facts form movies.
This week LS1 went to the Manaikalani film festival at silver park. First we had to get settled into our seats. After that had to watch different types of movies that were funny and that had information about something. My favourite movie was the one were tamaki college turned kiki do you love me into a song were we can learn from it, but the subject for it was science talking about it is were they mix and makes a reaction that they never expected.

Armistice Remembrance

                         
L.I: To learn about the causes, conflict, and resolution to World War 1 (WWI). This week I was learning information about World War 1. First I had to to get into a pair. Once I had done that I had to make a copy of a google slide that had questions about poems and the songs that had represents the people that had died in the war and sacrificing there lives. We also had to search up information about the subject that we had in our google slide.

Kiwi Can

L.I: Is to learn about respect. This week LS1 went to kiwi can. First we played a game named catch me if you can, the rules of the game is that we would have to get into a circle and one person that is next to you has to put there palm out and then you would have to point you index finger towards the palm and you have to do the same thing but you have to put out your palm then when the instructor of the game says GO!! then you would have to try and catch the other persons finger and at the same time try and not get caught.

After that we played a game named catch me if you can, the rules of the game is simple there would be a person that would call out a persons then they are in and there would be a slow timer counting to 10 and the last person that was is in and then they are out and also another rule is that you are not allowed to tag back. after that we played another.

L.I Is to give feed back to schools film. This week we had to comment on different types of schools film and talking about how they did an amazing job on working together as a school to make a film that represents there school. We also had to do a quality comment to also represent our own school.

L.I: Is to learn about Max gimblett and quatrefoils.
This week I was learning about Max gimblett's art and why he uses quatrefoils as his piece of art. First I had to get into partners but I had to get into a group of three because of the amount of people there are. After that we had to look up information about the art of Max gimblett and information about were he grew up and others, and the last thing we had to do is to make art of a quatrefoil that had a theme of Christmas, Max gimblett and also anzac.

L.I: Is to learn about world war l. This week for inquiry I was learning the dates of the world war one on were the main events came in. L.I:  Is to learn how to use thirds, fourths and fifths as a question. This week for maths I was learn how to use thirds, fourths and fifths as a question. First I had to make a google slide, then make questions that people can answer and that all so make sense. After that I had to re read the questions to make sure the answer make sense and the answer is the answer that we thought of.

Evaluating


LI: to evaluate writing samples using the PBS writing rubric. This week for writing I was learning how to evaluate our work. First we had to suggest some of our words t see the structure of language. By giving feed back to our self's, there were also different types of levels that goes up to 1 to 6 and I thought my work was a level 3 but I gave my work to someone else and then they made a another feed back saying "I think that your level is 4" and I was so surprised because I never thought I was good at writing.

Kiwi Can


L.I: Is to learn about Respect. This week LS1 group B went to kiwi can. First We played a game named Mid-Night, The rules of the game is that there would be at least 14 and over people to play, then you would need to get into a circle the instructor of the game will number you's of 1 to 4

,and once the instructor of the game says a number for an example 3 then there would be a ball in the middle and then you would have to try and run around the circle and then once you got to were you were standing then you run through the gap and try and grab the ball.

 After that we were talking about the rules of our school, if we agree on the rules or if we don't and we also had to tell the reason why we disagree or agree. After that we played another game named bus stop, the rules of this game is that there would be 4 even out groups and then they would be given one paper for the hole group to share

, and with the piece of paper that they have been given that would have to write on it boys name, girls name, animal, food, colour and total, we had to do this because if the instructor says a letter than what ever letter that has been called out from the instructor than you would have to write one word for each box starting with the letter that has been called out.

It was basically the end of the day we had to get into our point, we all had to agree on each other by putting our hands up using our fingers to show how much points we should get for each station of the point system but the max of points we could get was 5 not 6 or ten. So then the point's were settled, the points were 5, 5, 5, 4 and 4. the total for the points were 23.

Maori


L.I: Is to learn about the different types of weathers. This week LS1 group B went to Maori. the first Thing we had to do is to know about what kind of weather was it on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. After that we had to make a google doc showing the maori language of the weathers of Sunday to Wednesday, and giving an example with pictures to the people that don't have the understanding of Maori.

L.I: Is to learn about the M.A.I.N in world war l. This week for Inquiry I was learning about the M.A.I.N of world war l. First I had to make a copy of a google slide that  has blank spaces that I have to fill in. Then I had to find information about the M.A.I.N and what each word means. I learnt the information that I got from a video telling about M-Militarism,A-Alliances,I-Imperialism and N for Nationalism.

L.I: Is to make a persuasive add. This week for cybersmart I was learning about how to make a CO-CO Crunch cereal add. First I had to go on a website showing different things to add to our own add for our cereal. then after that  there were more these things for persuading other people to cone back and try some more.

Recount





LI: to quickly write a recount using the correct structure and language features. This week for writing I was learning how to write  a quick recount.  First i had to open up a google doc. Then I had to make a recount about the sky tower trip we had, telling about the different types of things we did there. after I had i wrote my recount I had to suggest about what spelling mistakes in my recount.

World War l




L.I: To learn about the causes, conflict, and resolution to World War 1. This week for inquiry we were learning about the world war l. First we had to get into a a group of two (partners). Then we had to find different information about different topics in the world war l like the central power. After that we were learning about the different dates of what what kind of actions there was in the world war l, and the last thing we had to do is put pictures showing what it looks like

L.I: Is to learn about what we didn't know in the different terms. This week for maths we had to choose a topic on what we didn't know about on a google form. After that we were in different groups that have the same topic chosen, so then we all got information about the topic we needed, then we had to make an activity showing how to make a graph or other topics that have been choosen.

Kiwi Can

L.I:Is to learn about respecting out school. This week LS! group B went to kiwi can. First we played a game named no rules vs rules,the point of the game is that we would have to compare what is fun using rules and no rules, and the better choice is no rules because if we had to choose that th no rules is better then what is the point there will just be cheating.

We also were talking about the theme:  Respect and our Topic: our school, talking about Respect the meaning treating other people how they wanted to be treated, then we all got asked a question "what was the most valuable thing in our life.

Different people answered the question as there PS4 is there most valuable thing is and then the kiwi can leader ask's the purpose of why is that the most valuable/Perseus thing, and I answered because it makes me happy when ever I am board.

Then we played another game named roll played, the rules of the game is that there would be as many groups but even, so then one person from each group has to come to one of the leader  or the person that is running the game has been given a statement and they  would have to tell there team and try and act it out as a team.

It was all most the end of kiwi can so we ended it of with a quick game of master GKQ, the rules of the game is simple there would be one person that would go and challenge other people at asking questions about the earth or anything.

L.I: Is to learn about the sand art about a book. This week for Maori LS1 learnt about the mum and dad of Tainui and the other brothers, it takes place on when the brothers wanted to get out of the dark and experience the light that they have never seen so they were trying to separate the mum and dad making the brothers god of anything bu had to choose one for an example the god of wind, we also learnt the same story but with another version named Maori sand art but we were watching a video.

Conflict and resolution


L.I To analyse a story for its conflict and resolution. This week for reading I learning about conflict and resolution. We also had to make a connection about  the book I we read and a different book. The  book that i'm connecting with is avengers infinity war, I think avengers infinity war is a connection with spark because in the story of avengers infinity war it has a conflict were Thanos is trying to destroy half of the world, but with spark Dillon doesn't want to share his bike and not give any one a turn.

Tunnels


L.I: Is to learn the parts of a tunnels. This week for inquiry I was making a tunnel. First I had to get into a group of 4 but since there was not a even split so then my group had to get into a group of 5. after that we only had 5 types of material tape,spaghetti,straws,rubber ban and glad rap. Th idea we had in mind was to build a stand with spaghetti that will turn into a  were the glad rap can lay on, the next step for our tunnel is that we had to make the plat form for the car that is going into our tunnel. we had to make the tunnel rally tight because of all the sand going on top of it so that is were the glad rap comes in, so with then glad rap w had to put it on top of it so the sand doesn't go into our tunnel

Kiwi sport

L.I: learn about all skills we have done for our lessons and put it into a sequence. This week LS1 group B went to swimming. First i had to go to my instructor, then i had to go and find boogie board and  do some stream line. After that i had to try and think of a sequence, my sequence was stream line, free style, sculling, treating water and sculling on my back.once I had to done that I was racing with some of the swimming students it was a boy vs boy, then I won, then after my instructor mixed  it up a little it would be a girl vs boy so then I won my one an my other partner that I was racing before the person that I raced second lost his one. Last We were doing a dolphin dive in to the water, we did this because it doesn't really help with swimming but it is fun because so we could learn how a dolphin swims and acts like in the water.
