Cuchulainn

L.I: Is to find information of Cuchulainn. This week for reading I was learning about Cuchulainn. First I had to make a google drawing telling about the lessons of Cuchulainn. Then I had to find a video about Cuchulainn and some others. After that I had to decorate the google drawing.

Persuasive


LI: to identify the structure and language features of a persuasive text. This week for writing I was learning about persuasive writing. The first thing that I had to do was I had to make a copy of a google doc that had a task for me to put my knowledge into it. To learn the things in a persuasive writing I had to watch an example telling me what to do.

Area and Perimeter of basic shapes

L.I: Use a formula to calculate the area of a rectangles and squares. This week for maths I was learning about measuring the area and perimeter. The first thing that I had to do is to watch a video understanding what to do when measuring an area of a perimeter. Them I was given a piece of paper that had to measurements on it, so the thing that I had to do to find the area and perimeter was I had to measure the sides to find it out.

Commenting


L.I: Is to give feed back to other peoples blog. This week for commenting I commented on Akuhata's blog. he had a good blog post but some of it was not at his level he should be writing at less 5 sentences or more at his age.

Keyboardings


L.I: Is to learn how to type without looking at our keyboard. This week I was learning how to write without looking at my keyboard. I learnt this by using by brain to remember what key to click.

Times Tables

L.I: Is to learn my times tables. This week I was learning my times tables. First I had to find out my 9 times tables then write a book about the times tables.

Kiwi can


L.I: Is to learn how to  do skills with a life jacket. This week the year 6's went to swimming (Kiwi sport.) the skill that we learnt was a stick, a stick is when you have to put one of your hands and put it on your other arms shoulder. after that we had to get our other hand and then hold our nose well covering our mouth last we had to take one big step out. then we learnt another skill named sculling, sculling is when you have to take both of your arms and then move it side to side by going thumps up and then thumps down we did that 4 times. Last we learnt another that were we had to take of our life jacket and then place it down from the inside then we had to lay on our back then slowly put our arms in the holes were you put your hands in, once we done that we had to buckle it up well floating on out back.

Kiwi Can


L.I: Is Learn how to problem solve. This week LS1 went to kiwi can. We went to kiwi can to problem solving and resilience. We were learning about resilience so we could  have the confidence to ask for some help if you are stuck on something. We also learned about problem solving, we learnt problem solving because if we were stuck on 2 + 2 then we could ask for help. We also played a game named hoop de hoop this game is were you could work as a  team and give them support.

Lessons


L.I: Is to learn about the lessons in a text. This week for reading I had to make a google drawing about the text of Lac Long Quan. First I had to read a text that had information about the text. Then I had to use my inferring to find lessons and also sum up the text to teach people what the text is about. I learnt this by reading a text with all the information that I need.

Procedural writing


LI: Is to write a procedural text. This week for writing I had to make a procedural text. First I  had to make a copy of a google doc that has a planner on it. Next I had to choose a 3D shape to use for my procedural text. The structure of a procedural text is Title, End results, Materials, Pictures and steps.

After that once I had put my information in the planner (Structure of procedural) I had to copy and paste all my work and make it look like a proper procedural writing. I learnt this by getting an example and trying to make a procedural writing as a practice.



Swimming

L.I: Is to learn how to save other people.
This week for kiwi sport the year 6 went to swimming. First we had to get changed and go on the bus. Next we were learning about saving other people with the  float sticks, with this saving skill we had to get a partner and 1 person had to get into the water  and the other on the plat form laying on there stomach well the person raising there hand shouting HELP! and the person laying on there stomach throws the float stick to the person that is  saying HELP!. After that we were learning how to swim well circling our legs well it looks like we are sitting on a chair.

Foundations

                        
L.I: Is to learn how to stand structure. This week for inquiry I had to learn about different kinds of foundation. First I had to get into a group of 3. Next I had to make a google slide about the different foundations. After that I had to give an description about each foundation. I learnt this by watching a video with all the information I could get.

Kiwi Can


L.I: Is to learn how to problem solve. This week LS1 group B went to kiwi can. First we had to get into a circle, then we started of the game named untangled, the rules of the games is that there would be equal groups and each group had to get into a little circle, then we had to hold someone's hand with our right hand that is not next to you. Then we had to get our left hand and hold some's hand in your own group. After that we had another game named matt dodge ball. The rules of this game was that everyone would have to get into a circle then will get numbered of out of 1 to 4, and if any number was called for an example number 2 who ever was number 2 they would have to go in the middle and try and dodge the ball well  the other people are only setting on there bums and throwing the ball. Last we played another  game named  GKQ, the rules of the game is that there  would be 4 equal lines and the  first people in the front  of each  line has to stand up and get answered a question. Then  we headed to the point we only got 17 points that is not a lot, it is because we were not respectful.

angles

L.I: identify and construct right, acute and obtuse angles.
This week for maths I had to learn how to measure angles. First I had a sheet that had different types of angles that I had to measure. This was a very hard task to do but as I got use to it I mostly got every single one of them correct. The thing that we had to measure the angle was the protractor.

The skytower

LI: Is to learn things about the sky tower.
This week LS1 went to the sky tower. First we went in a bus to get to the city were the sky tower is. Then  we were introduced to the sky tower. Then we went straight to the top of the tower, we had a quiz to fill out, there were all sorts of pictures around the top of the tower that shows were the locations of each building surrounding the tower of even far away. Did you know that it cos 75 million dollars to pay for the sky tower also the sky tower wasn't for eating and drinking it was for communicating so it could find information for your T.V and shows. After that we were introduced to the refuge room were when there is a fire you could stay in there and somebody could save you by cutting  the metal.  This room is located in room 45 were there is food and water to survive with just in case there might be nobody to save you or even ME!. After that we were watching a short film about information about the sky tower and when it was built and released and why the people made we also had questions to ask and the question I said was, " Who had to idea of building the sky tower." I never got a answer but they only built it for communicating. we also had another quiz, we had to try and put our hands up as fast as we could just to get the answer and who ever got it correct they  would win a prize that was Mar balls,but I thought it was lollies so i tried to put my hand up as fast as I could but Karlos won it. I learnt this by listening carefully to the in-structure and finding out little information.

Tables Conga

LI: is to learn my can do's.This week I was doing my can do.My can do was all about getting the right tables. This really helped me with my times tables and for my work.This is a game about time tables the point of the math game is to try and get the right times table.

Maui lessons

LI: to identify the purpose of narratives. This week for reading I had to learn things about Maui. First I had to make a google drawing. Then I had to find what kind of lessons the story of Maui teaches us or me. After that I had to use my reading strategy summarising to tell what Maui story was all about by giving a little information about it.

First I had to make A google drawings about the things I have learnt about procedural. Then I had to write the things in procedural like structure and language and the purpose of why is there procedural. After that I had to write information on all the topics in procedural.

10 Bridges


.I: Compare and contrast Panmure Bridge to a Local equivalent. This week for inquiry I was learning about all sorts of bridges form around the world. First I had to find information about the bridge like finding when it was built and find the photos of the bride. Then I had to make a google maps showing were the bridges are form and what it looks like.

Swimming

L.I: Is to learn how to swim in oceans and rivers. This week for kiwi sport LS1 were learning about how to swim into a ocean or a river. The skill that we learnt was that you would always go feet first well swimming into an ocean and a river, so that when we hit a rock you could push of it and go around it, you would never want to go head first because you  would rather break your leg instead of breaking your head. The skill that we learnt for swimming in oceans and rivers was sculling, sculling a when you kick with you legs and also stick your head out like what dogs do, but with your hands you would want to wave it side to side like your scooping an ice cream.

Angles

                     
L.I:Identify and contrast right,acute and obtuse angles.
This week for maths we had to make a google slide of different angles using other materials in the class. First I had to make a google slide. after that we had to make different angles using material in the class. The angles there were was Straight,Right,Acute,Obtuse and reflex, and also the materials that I used was a ruler,white board,book and sticks. There were all different kinds of degrees I learnt 45*,90*,180*,270* and 360*.

Narrative

L.I: Is to write a quick narrative. This week for writing I had to write a narrative in 40 minuets. First I had  to make a copy of a google doc then plan about my narrative. After that I had to put information down about who,what,were and when. There were 5 parts in a narrative that  I had to add information about. Title, Orientation, Problem, Events and Solution.

Tengu leesons

L.I: Is to find lessons of the Tengu story. This week for reading I was learning about lessons of Tengu. First I had to make a copy of a google drawings. Then I had to read and article about Tengu. After that I had to add information about Tengu and the Lessons that I have found in each text I have read. I learnt this by  reading text and  learning about how the Tengu was a  legend and why people believe him.

3D Shapes

                      
L.I: Construct models of polyhedra using everyday materials. This week for maths I was learning how to make 3D shapes out of tooth picks and Blu Tack. First we had to get into partners my partner was Chris. After that we had to make a google slide to put my shapes that I made on the google slide. Last we had to tell  how much faces,edges and vertices

Swimming

L.I: Is to learn about swimming. This week for kiwi sport we were learning about the different about hyperthermia and hypothermia, is that hypothermia is when you get really cold and you need an ambulance, and hyperthermia is when you don't get cold and your temperature is over normal. First we learnt how to stream line by putting our arms together and behind your ears and kick without your hands. Then we learnt how do sculling, sculling is when you have your two hand waving side to side well kicking. after that we learnt about dolphin diving, dolphin diving is when you have  to dive and once you have to the bottom you would have to come up like a dolphin. We also did each activity 2 times so our 1 try is were you can experience what it feels like and the next is where you have to try your best to do it.

This vs That





Compare and contrast Panmure Bridge to a Local equivalent. This week for inquiry I was learning about comparing and contrasting other bridges from around the word. First I had to get into a partner and my partner was Lukah. Then I had to make a copy of a 3 google drawings that had different bridges that I had to compare and contrast.The 2 google drawings were for our own choice of choosing the bridge that we want to use for our google drawing. We did this because so we can experience other bridges around the world.

Word Cloud

L.I: Is to make a word cloud about blogging. This week for cyber smart I had to make a word cloud. But first I had to think about the words to put into my word cloud as well. We did to learn how you feel about your won blog post and how it is engaging with other people around the world, also it could tell the people what they are inserted in and what they are not into so that is when feed back comes in.

Kiwi Can


L.I: Is to set a goal. This week LS1 group B went to kiwi can. when we came in we got a introduction from kiwi can. Then we played a game named snatch,  the rules of the game is that there would be a rope around all of us well we are in a circle but we had to step out and there would be cones in the middle, the cones are for the game and there would be music in the background and then you would have to go around the circle the direction that the commentator said to go. after that we played a game named octopus, the rules of the game is that there would be a tagger that is in the hoop with two puffy bats so the tagger can tag the other people, there would also be a girl and a boy side and they  have to get to the other side by the tagger not taging them but if the commentator said you had to crawl ,jump,hop or hop on one leg then you would want to do that so you could get to the other side.

L.I: Is to learn how to give feed back to other peoples blog. This  week for commenting I went on Akuhatas blog post he did a very good job but he was missing some little bits of info that he could .

Narrative

L.I Is to write a quick narrative. This week for writing I was making a narrative a quick one. First I had to make a google doc and write a narrative from the planning LS1 did together. Then I had to write the same thing but in more detail like adding speech adding paste tense and more. The structure of a narrative is T.O.P.E.S standing for Title,Orientation,Problem,Events and Solution.

then we had to learn the steps in writing B.P.D.EP standing for Brain storm,Planning,Draft,Edit and Publish. These steps of writing helps  me by showing what to do and the steps so you don't need to think of others things to go in your narrative because you have already done it in your planning.

Adding Fraction

                   
LI: to add and subtract with like and unlike denominators. This week for maths I was learning how to add fraction. First I had to learn about adding fractions by watch and explanation. First I had to make a slide showing how to add fractions. Then I had to choose 2 fractions to add then show all the skills I have  learnt from the video and the  strategies from it.

Myths,Fairy tales and Legends


L.I: Is to define myths,legends and fairy tales. This week for reading we were learning about myths,legends and fairy tales. First I had to get into a pair, my pair was Oscar. Then after that we had to make a copy of a google drawings that had a vein diagram to show what is the different about the 3 and what it means. After that  we had to read a text that  had information about  myths,legends and fairy tales,  we had to read the text because it could help us understand what they  are and it could help  us with our vein diagram.

Panmure bridge


LI: how have it changed and adapted human overtime
This term our new theme was Construction. So we are looking at buildings that have an impact on society or maybe the world. So this week our structure we picked was the Panmure Bridge. It was really cool discovering things about Panmure Bridge. We learned by getting into groups of three and make this slide. We also did an activity before this called "I think, I wonder, I see". We had eight pieces of paper. There was a photo on each and we had to write what we see, wonder, and think. We all thought the pictures weren't related. By the time everyone finished we found out all the old images were actually related to Panmure Bridge.

Kiwi Can

L.I: Is to lean how to set a goal. This week LS1 went to kiwi can. First we played a game named snatch. The rules of this game was hat there was every  one for them self and they had a tag that you had to tuck into your pants and then we had to try and get everybody's tag and if your tag got ripe you are out. After that we played another game named ball race. The rules of the game is simple you would have to get into a pair then we all had to get into even groups with your pair then when it is your turn you would want to put the ball behind each others back then go to the other side of the room and back.

L.I: Is to Identify the purpose of the information presented in media This week for cybersmart I had to make a word cloud about myself and my friends and family. First I had to make a list of things my personalty and also my friends and family and also how they act to me. The things I like to do is play soccer game and others. For my family and friends They are smart loyal and others.
