Koukouratata

This week for maths I had to make a DLO explaining the strategy I used to solve this equation. This was a really fun challenge to do since it got my brain going. I would sometimes not get it but at the end I got there. The thing that I liked about this task was that I could work with my friends, making use communicate on things that we got confused with and combine our knowledge to find the answer.

Extra Research - Haiku

                     
LI: Is to write a DLO that explains the history around Haiku

Haiku is a really old piece of poetry. It has been around ever since the 1700s. I found this task really interesting because of the new things that I learnt about this poet and the founder. The thing that I found interesting was that it was created in the 1700s. My reaction to me reading this was WOW! that is so amazing.

Tom Moore

LI: Is to write a DLO explaining about the achievements that Tom Moore did.

Wow I can't believe Tom Moore has done a lot of work through out his past years and his birthday has just passed making him 100 which is a great achievement for living the game of life. Also he achieved his goal of walking around his 25 meter garden 100 times. If I would be honest that would be really hard for his age. The thing that I liked about this task was that I got to learn a lot about Tom Moore which was really fun.

Outside The Box

LI: To create a picture by thinking outside the box. 

This week we were given another random line so e could create something. When I first look at the line i thought i could draw a duck but then i thought to myself again and said, I should do something different because I think everybody else would try and draw a duck so then i went with a penguin. To make things more interesting for him I made him some air Jordan and him playing basketball.

Haiku Poem - Summer

LI: Is to correctly structure and write a haiku poem.

This week for out home learning we were asked to write a haiku poem about the 7 options that we were given. The topic that i wrote about is summer. This was a really fun challenge because you had to use really powerful words and then think to yourself, WOW I am really good at writing a haiku poem. I talked about the things you would need when you encounter summer like sun screen and a hat. 

Kahoa Lole

                   
LI: Is to give each necklace the same amount of lollies.
When it comes to prize giving a lot of parents of family's tun up with Kahoa Lole, which is a necklace made out of lollies. Well my family's have, this week we were given maths equations about Kahoa Lole's. To solve this I used a method that i just got taught which is named divisions in parts. I thought this method was really easy because we had to share each lollies equally to make an even amount for each necklace.

Outside The Box

LI: Is to use your imagination and draw something using a random line. This week we had been given a random line, and with that we would have to use our imagination to create something when you first see the line. Int his case when I first saw the line the first thing that came to my mind was a monster. I'm really proud of this drawing because I thought about this really hard and then it turned out  how i imagined it to be.

McDonald's Drive through

                        
Everyone loves McDonald, and currently New Zealand's lock down has decreased to level 3 and most of the things are open like McDonald's. Mostly so many people have seen a really busy line to maccas leading on the road. I have created a DLO that would blow your mine. I was a given question to figure out and one of the question really caught my attention which was there were 32 cars if it took 5 1/2 minutes to serve each customer, how long would it take to for every car to get served. I could just imagine myself waiting for around 1 hour just to get a big mac.

WW1 Collage

LI: To draw a picture in other peoples with pictures. WW1 was a brutal war with family members risking there lives to protect our country. This tasked represented the things that happened in WW1 and the memorable soldiers did. We should all take the time and respect the things these people have done like taking a risk have the determination and confidence to take on this challenge.

Kelly Tarltons

                       
This week for our home learning we talked about Kelly tarltons. We found out a lot of interesting facts about the company. like how much it would cost for our family's to go and how much each person would cost. We also talked about one of the sea creatures in Kelly tarltons which was the seahorse we talked about the habitat of excreta.

Leaf art

For the home learning we had to use our creative thinking to design an animal made out of leafs. For this task i made a giraffe. I am so proud of it because i thought most people would try and find pictures of that animal made out of leaves but i stick to my mind and just did that is why i am so proud of it. I got really creative, so when i saw that the giraffes mouth open i thought i should put a tree there so it could look like its trying to eat. I am going to tell you 3 interesting facts about the beautiful creature.

1. Giraffes have the longest necks in the world.

2. Did you know that a group of giraffes are called a tower?

3. Did you know that giraffes mostly spend their lives standing up? They sleep standing up and give birth standing up.

Sky Tower

                    
This week for our home learning we used our researching and creative thinking to do this task. We started on finding 5 interesting facts about the tower. Then we had a task on making a new mascot for the sky tower so we combined our knowledge together to make our own. After that we chose a place in the sky tower that is exiting so we chose the bungy jump. We chose this one because it could be a fascinating thing to talk about on.

Rainbows End

                       

This week for my online schooling I worked on a really fun place named Rainbows End. This place has a lot of fun and scary rides. When I first went to Rainbows End I went into the kingdom and I had a blast. So this DLO tells you about the location and the reason we have height restrictions and the price of a family pass.
