Show and Tell

         
L.I Is to make a descriptive scene. This week for writing I had to make a show and tell.for my show I had put a image to show the five senses (smell,sight,taste,hearing,touch) and also describing with good detail and figurative language. After that I had to do the tell the tell is when you have a basic events about the same topic but less information.

MRS GREN

LI: To show how an organism does each characteristics that all living things do.
Today I learned in my group to make a video about how an organism does the seven characteristics of life (MRS GREN). MRS GREN stands for movement, respiration, sensitivity, growth, reproduction, excretion and nutrition. My group and me made a script so we can talk off of, and we made a slide show with videos and pictures so when we record people will have a brief image on what it really looks like. Today I learned by working as a team. The organism that we used was Cat.

Maori

L.I: Is to learn how to make a maori 2 diamond. This week LS1 went to Maori. First we had to get a string. Then we had to watch a video to learn how to do the 2 diamonds this was a very hard activity because I couldn't make it but all I could do is just make a parachute.

Behavior Rules

LI: to interact online in a kind, positive, and helpful way. This week for cybersmart I had to make a list of rules to show how to be positive online. First I had to make a google about the behavior rules and how to teach others how to be safe online. Next I had add information about what you should do when you are talking to someone or even your friends.

Fractions



L.I Is to understand proper, Improper and equivalent fractions. This week for math I had learn what a fraction is and the parts of it, a fraction is equal pieces of a whole. First I had to make a copy of a google drawing about the fractions that I am doing. Next I had to add information about the proper,mixed numbers and improper fraction. Then I had to add pictures of the objects to show what it looked like. After that I had to make another copy of a google drawing. The google drawing was all about the percentages of one fraction for an example 1/10 goes into 10%, for an example 1/5 goes to 5.0.

Comic Strip


L.I: Is to learn how to infer information from a text. This week for reading i had to learn how to infer from a text. Inferring is a type of reading strategy that is when an answer is not in the text but getting clues from the text and getting the answers from the clues you have. The text I read was Not so Normal the book was about a boy named Normal that was a alien because I inferred because he wanted to see a meadow and also he was glowing.

Kiwi Can


L.I: Is to learn what accountability. This week LS1 went to kiwi can. First we had to sit down then we had to stand up for a game named snatch the cone, the rule of this game is that you would have a partner and then there would be a coned between you 2 then the person that was running the game has to say a word for an example  cat if she/he says cat then you can get the cone. Next we played another game named hand soccer, the rules of this game is that there would be 2 even teams and then you would get numbered of 1 to how many you have in your team then a number would called out for an example 4 and then they would have to touch the goal that there trying protect then try and get a goal.

The Lost dog


L.I: Is to brainstorm a narrative. This week for writing I had to make a narrative. A narrative is a fiction story. The structure of a narrative is T (title) P (problem) E (Event) and S (solution). First I had to make a copy of a planner and then I had to plan my narrative.Next I had to make a voice recorder so I had to say my narrative.

Cellular Respiration

LI: To learn something new about by body.
Today me and my group the qiuzers had to make a DLO (digital learning object) about cellular respiration to teach other people what cellular respiration does. Cellular respiration gives us energy, to get energy we need ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate). To get ATP we need the mitochondria to make it. Kiwi Sport



l.I: is to learn how to play a game of rippa. This week LS1 went to kiwi sport. This week for kiwi sport we were playing a game named rippa we had to get into 4 groups my team was number 4 and my team mates are me,Victory,Alice,Sakina,Giovanni and Acien. The first match was group 1 vs 2 group 1 won. The next match was group 4 vs group 2 and group 4 won. Next was group 3 vs 4 group 4 won. After was group 2 vs 4 and group 4 won. 2nd to last was group 1 vs group 3 and group 1 won. Last was group 4 vs 2 and it was a draw.

Inferring

LI: to infer information from a text. This week for reading In learned what inferring. Inferring is when you get a text and the answer is not right there that means you have to use clues. First I had to make a copy of a google doc. After that we had to read the text in the doc then I had to find at less 2 and over infers. 

kiwi Can

L.I: is to learn how to countable. This week LS1 went to kiwi can. First we played a game named shark attacked. the rules of this game was that there would be 2 taggers and every one would be a fish and the person  that was running the game they would have to place down some hoops and if they say shark attack every one had to go on the hoops with both of there feet and if you get taged you are out. Next we played another game named hand soccer, the rules of this game is that it was boys vs girls so there would be soccer nets or cones to act like it is a soccer goal and we were only allowed to use only 1 hand to hit it. Last we played a game named GKQ, the rules of this game was that there would be 5 lines or less and the first person of each line has to stand up and then if they got it correct they would just had to give them around of a plas.

Maori

L.I: Is to learn how to make a fish. This week for Maori I had to make a fish. First I had to get 2 thin pieces of paper. Then we had to learn how to make a fish by a video but this was very difficult because there was so many steps on every single video I tried to find but I finally found one video that only had 2 steps to it an I tried and I got it.

L.I:count in fractions forwards and backwards to a named whole number. This week for math I learned the parts of a fraction. The parts of a fraction is the numerator and denominator. the numerator is how much you have of the object or something. The denominator is the amount of cut up pieces.

kiwi Sport

                                       
L.I: is to learn how to pass backwards. This week LS1 went to kiwi sport. First we played a game named octopus the rules of this game is simple, so there would be 2 taggers or more and people would be on one end of something of a hall then the people will have to try and make to the other side when someone in the middle has to say something for an example like people wearing blue and yeah. Next we played another game that was a game a of rippa game but not a real game. After that we played the same game but we had to pass it backwards but instead it was a real game.

Circulatory system





LI. To difine respiration. This week for inquiry we had to finish the tasks. My group completed two tasks. I worked on the Haiku poem with Farzana, Matthew, and Lukah. And our whole group worked on the fish bone but we did different parts of it then we changed it up because some of the information was false. We showed the work to Mr. Wong and we got 1 credit for the Haiku and 2 credits for the fish bone.

L.I: Develop the “Japanese” and “Chinese” method for multiplication outside the basics facts. this week for math's I learned how to a Japanese and Chinese method. First I made a google slide and then write about how to do the Japanese method. After that I had to the Chinese method I did this on a video because I want to make it more interesting.

Narrative Reminders


LI: to identify the structure and language features of a narrative. This week I did writing. For writing we had to make a google drawing about text reminders. First I had to make a copy a google drawing. after that I had to make text boxes so I can put the structure of a narrative and language then I had to use my brain to remind my self of what the narrative is and what it does. I learned by getting an explanation and watching videos.

FlipGrid

LI: to Self monitor understanding words and phrases. This week for reading I had to learn words that I don't know. First I had to read a article named Why do our muscles get tired?. After that I had to meet up with my group named Percy Jackson then we had to make a google doc then once we had finished reading the article we had to find words that we didn't know. Last we had to make a flipgrid and talk about the article I read and then I had to choose 3 words that I didn't know and if we wanted to we could explain it was.

Kiwi Can

L.I: Is to learn how to do teamwork. T`his week for LS1 group B. For kiwi can we had to go in kiwi can and then we had to make a circle then we were numbered of 1 - 4 then they told us what we were doing were playing a game named copy me. The rules of this was that there would be cards that represent something like for an example if you chose a queen then you would have to do 5 sit ups. Then we played another game named buddy move you would have to buddy up with someone else then the person that was running the game they would have to call out fruits and what ever fruit they called out for an example banana means swap places. after that we played another game named GKQ the rules of this game everyone had to make a circle then there would be a master that would be going around and answering the question and if you got it wrong then you had to sit down in the spot were you were sitting.

Tupu-ā-nuku, Tupu-ā-rangi, Ururangi e Koinei ngā tamariki o Matariki.

L.I: Is to learn some thing new about the world. This week I did current events. This week for current events I Had to look up some information about something in the world. Then I had to answer some questions about the topic I am using or reading. Then there was questions that evolved with hats nd the hats include feelings inside them that we give us a question about what happen.

Cybersmart

L.I: Is to learn about the different of advantages online and in person. This week for cybersmart I had to learn about the advantages of online and in person. First I had to make a google drawing and add information about the what is the different in shopping online and shopping in person. So I found out some information and then I wrote it down.

Kiwi Can


L.I: Is to be a role model. This week LS1 went to kiwi can. First for kiwi can we had to get into 5 lines. Once we had done that we all had to stand up. Then we had to line our self with the other people in the other line, and they told us we were playing a game named cat and mouse. The aim of the game is that there would be a cat that would be chasing the mouse and there would be a mouse that would be running away from the cat and the lines were for that the person that is running the game and if he/she says left the people that are lining up they turn around and turn to the left. After that we played cat walk. the aim of this game is that there would be a boys and girls team or just a even group. There would be 1 person from each group  that has the confident to show what they are made of stand up and go on one of each side and the person that is running it they would have to choose a random model and someone else would put a music of the model.

Maori

L.I: Is to learn about the things that happen in matariki. This week LS1 went to Maori. For Maori we learned about matariki. matariki is a tridenal thing to New Zealand, matariki is about the 7 stars the the 7 stars were named Waiti,Waita,Waipunarangi,Tupuanuku,Tupuarangi,Ururangi e,Matariki, and when all the star disappear that is a sign that matariki has started and there would be a big feast.

Digestive System


LI: To learn about the digestive system.
The Quizzers made this. We added in all the information about nearly all the digestive system body parts. In this slide show it shows all the functions of the digestive system body part. I like this because it has pictures and LOTS of information. We learned by working as a team. We also learned by listening to the instructions, focusing on our work and by working hard.

Review


L.I: Is to summaries a text using keywords. This week for reading I did a review on follow your food. First I had to make a script I did this by using a google doc and writing information about what i am going to talk about.

Volume and Capacity

L.I: Is to measure volume and capacity. This week for maths I measured the volume and capacity of object and made a video. First I had to make a copy of a google drawing for me to put information in, but I worked with a partner named Mojtaba. Then we had to get a container and also predict the volume. Once we have done that we had to get some measuring cups and also put water in them and tip it in the container. Last we made a flip-grid, a flip-grid is a video record a that only has a limited of time and you have to explain what you have to explain.
