Kiwi Sport

L.I: Is to learn how to pass backwards. This week LS1 went to kiwi can. First we had to line up play a game named octopus the aim of the game is that there would be 1 -2 taggers in the middle and one of them will call out something for an example who ever is a girl, and if you get taged you would have to be a tagger with them and try and tag the other players. Next we played another game named rippa rugby, the aim of this game is that there would be even teams and they would have reppars and a belt so they can stick it on them. Once you have done the game will start so you can think of a strategy for your team to win. Last we practice on our passing so we could learn how to do good passes.

Online Vs Retail

LI: to identify retail outlets and their online equivalents for consumer goods. This week for Cyber smart I compared retail shops to online shops. First I had to make a google draw. Next I had to make a vend diagram. After that I had to make a heading and I add color to it because so I can give some light and nice. Last I had to put information in the middle if it was an online and retail, Online means you can buy stuff online, retail mens that you can't buy it online you can only buy it from the shop.

Explanation


L.I: Is to write detailed paragraphs. This week for writing I wrote a full explanation by using a copy of a google doc. Paragraphs are little 3 and over sentences they make you r explanation more bigger and have more information. First I made a copy of a Venus fly trap google doc. After that I had to add extra detail to the  google doc of the Venus fly trap the 3 things I had to fix was the introduction,explanation and the conclusion. Last I had to copy and paste my work into an real explanation.

Kiwi Can

L.I: Is to learn how to be a good role model. This week LS1 went to kiwi can. First we had to stand up in a circle and played a game named bang, the rules of the game is that there would be one person in the middle and he/she will call out a name and who ever's name was called out had to bob down and the people that were next to him/her had to shoot each other and who ever shot them firs had to sit down and wait for the next round.  Next we played another game named fruity tutti, the rules of this game is that we would all be in a circle and would be facing right and there would be calling out fruits, like apple- forward orange-backwards banana-turn around, and if you do the wrong actions you are out. After that we all had to sit down and play a game named master, the rules of this game is that there would be a person that would be a master and they would be facing people with questions and one person is to call the question and who ever  had answered the question won and got it correct.

Samoa Language week

                   
This week for Samoa language week Me,Julian,David and Dallas made a DLO about Samoa language week. Our theme was about the Tatau (Tattoo.) First we had to write information about it on how Samoa's make tatau and what do Samoa's have. After that we had to find information and read it  and write it in our own words. Last we had to add color to it so it could give some light.

Kiwi sport

L.I: Is to learn how to avoid getting riped and getting a rip. This week for kiwi sport we had to put a belt on and two tippers. First we played every ones it. The rules of the game is to get as much rippers as you can also you are not allowed to block it or you are out. Next we played another game named bull rush. The rules  of this game is that there would be two taggers in the middle and they get to choose who is wearing what. after that the people that got touched they would have to be in the middle and they would have to run with the organelle taggers. Last we played a game named game of ripa rugby.

Key Words

L.I: Is define keywords from a text. This week for reading I learned about key words. First I had to make a copy of a google doc. After that I had to read a book named counting kakahi and find the author text type and purpose. Then we had to get keywords and write about the reminders about the kakahi, kakahi are types of clam that uses there "out" sihpon suck water and uses the palps to help them sort out the food then it comes out of the in sihpon that turns the food into poop
Fact: did you know that the buts are next to there mouth so the kakahi will just keep on sucking up the poop.

Digestive System

LI. To define digestion. This week for Inquiry we had to finish the compulsory tasks. Victoria and I did this presentation. I used my research skills in order to find some of the information. We explained two of the related organs that help the digestive system such as- Liver, and Kidney. The kidneys wash the blood and take all the waste products from the blood into the gallbladder which gets stored then released.


Earthworm digestive system

The earthworm digestive system is a complex cycle, the cycle starts with- prostomium, pharynx, esophagus, crop, gizzard, intestine, and anus. A digestive system is a group of organs or body parts helping something or someone digest the food they have been given or eating.

Earthworms swallow food through the mouth. A flap, called the prostomium under the mouth holds the worm’s food in.

The food travels down to the pharynx. It gets lubricated in mucous, which makes it slimy and slick.

The slimy food travels down the esophagus. It gets mixed with calcium carbonate which neutralizes the acid.

The crop is a storage zone. The slicky food gets mixed together again.

The gizzard churns and mixes the food. The gizzard churns the food for the earthworms because they have no teeth to grind the food themselves; in the food there is very tiny rocks and sand grains that helps grind the food, also a chemical digestion starts in the gizzard.

The paste then travels to the intestine. The volume of the earthworm body is made up of the intestine, the food passes through the earthworm and intestine, while it travels through kind of bacteria starts to break food down, so the blood vessels that line the intestine can take in the nutrients into parts of the body.

When all the waste travels to the end of the intestine the anus will take all the waste out so it can be a healthy earthworm. It will release its urine, the digestive system’s style is a complex cycle or system.

Prostomium covers mouth, food in pharynx, into esophagus, crop stores food, gizzard churns food, travels intestine, exits anus.

This process or cycle is like the human digestive system because humans have acid in the stomach that breaks down the food or chunks we have not chewed.
LI. To compare digestion in humans and other living organisms. This week for inquiry we had to finish the compulsory tasks. I wrote a eighteen sentence explanation because we did this for writing. We did the earthworm digestive system. I think the earthworm digestive system is complex. I got one credit for my group, we now have sixteen credits in total.

The Digestive System
LI. To describe the stuctures and perspective functions in the human digestive system. This week for inquiry we had to finish the compulsory tasks. I drew the digestive system and tried my best. I got two credits for The Quizzers which is my group. We are now on to sixteen credits. My group is trying to get twenty five credits so each one of us can buy one question. 


Digestive System Word Ring

 
LI. To explain what the main organs in the digestive system do. This week for inquiry we had to finish the compulsory tasks. Mojtaba, Matthew, Lukah, and Victoria did this activity. They got two credits for this. We had to write the main organs in the circle and the out it the more unrelated the organs are. We colored the circle in our favorite colors. Mojtabas favourite color is red, my favorite color is blue, Victoria favorite color is beige and Lukahs favorite green. Then we had to write a description.

Earthworms Digestive System

L.I: Is to write a 18 sentence explanation. This week for writing I had to make a 18 sentence explanation about earthworms digestive system and how it works. First I had to make a 2 sentence conclusion. After that I had to do 14 sentence for my explanation about the 7 body parts about the earth worms digestive system and how it turns the food (dirt) into cast (poop). Last I had to write another 2 sentence about the digestive system of an earthworm by a summary.

Volume and Capacity

L.I: Is to learn how to use Volume and Capacity. This week I did a maths must do. This weeks maths must do I had to make a copy of a google draw. Then I had to find two objects and measure the height,width and depth but first I had to estimate how many ㎤ (predict). Once I had found out the measurements, I had to choose either height,width or depth after that I to multiply the two measurements I had chose. First I used a strategy to work out the problem. Then I split the first numbers I chose. After that I had to multiply the two split by the second measurement. After that I had to add the answer that I had been given, then I had to multiply the measurement and the answer I got from the two measurements I chose. Last I had to fill the object with some thing that is squared so it could be easy to measure. 

Kiwi Can

L.I: Is to learn how to be a role model. This week for kiwi can we learned how to be a role model. First we had to sit down then we were told that we were going to be playing a game. Then we started the game  named dogy, the aim of the game is to get the pen from under the the chair but there would be a twist there would be a chair and someone would be chosen to be on the chair and would be blind folded and then would have to use a soft and long materiel and they would have to be protecting it by swing it around and the people that are trying to get the pen they are not allowed to go on the side of the chair and also the back. After that  we played another game named who is missing, the aim of the game is that there would be a game host and every body would close there eyes and then if they would get touch by the host they would have to hide some were and the other people would guess who is missing. 

Emotions

L.I: Is to learn the emotions in Maori. This week for Maori we learnt how to say different emotions in Maori. First we had to sit down then we were given piece of paper with circles the circles were for the faces for different types of emotions. Then we had to sit down again and learn a Maori song and we all sang along so.After the we had to start on our slid show from yesterday.

Aluminium Cans - Explanation

Aluminium cans are first starts of with bauxite. Then it gets smelts and turns into ingots then rolled up into a aluminium sheet and a machine cuts holes (Cupping pressing) to make the base of the can.

 From the cupping pressing it goes to the body maker. Each can gets forced to high speed into the body maker that makes the base of the can. Then the cans go to the trimmer that cuts the can into its right height. After that the cans go to a special washer that cleans up the left over lubricants then gets forced to move to the oven. Then after the oven the cans go to the printer that colors the cans to make its new notes. 

Then once it has finished it always gets tested and then it goes to another factory and then makes the tops of the cans named the press witch stamps the tops and the it makes the lids.

L.I Is to write a 10 sentence explanation. This week I did an writing session. This weeks writing session I learned how to make an explanation and what is it. First I had to make a copy of a google doc. after that I had to make a planner about the explanation and then I had to write the actual explanation.


Sensitivity

                        
LI. To define sensitivity and describe the structures and respective functions in the human nervous system.
This week for Inquiry we had to do tasks that is based on sensitivity. We had to do the elictive and the compulsory tasks in order to get credits so we can buy questions. At the end of the term LS1 is going to have a quiz which is based on ‘Living things’, if we get five or more credits we can buy a question which will allow us to buy questions for the quiz to win at the end of the term. The Quizzers (us) in total have nine credits which means we can buy one question, if we have one more credit we can buy two questions for the quiz. We are called ‘The Quizzers’ because we like quizzes and we like winning quizzes. Our group contains the following people- Victoria, Farzana, Matthew, Lukah and Mojtaba. We chose these groups because everyone in the group is good at different things. Victoria is good at blogging, Farzana is good at multitasking and getting things done fast, Matthew is good at , Lukah is good at drawing, and Mojtaba is good at helping people.

Measurement


L.I Is to estimates of lengths and areas. This week I did a maths session. This weeks maths session I learned how to measure. First we had to make a copy of a google drawing. After that we had to find 4 objects that we could measure I choose a cube,stick,door and the netball carts after that we had to predict what the measurement is and then we had to actually measure it and then once we have done that we had convert it into what ever measurement we were given.

Key Words

LI: to identify keywords from a text. This week I did a reading session. This weeks we reading session first I had to make a copy of a document. Then we had to find a book the about the nerves system. after that we had to find keywords about the nerves system and wright sentences down about what keywords you used. Last we had to get the author,text type,text and purpose.


Kiwi Can


L.I: Is to learn how to make good chooses. This week LS1 we went to kiwi can. First we had to line up into three lines. Then we played a game named the clap the rules of the game is to clap when the person that is  running the game crosses there arms and then you clap but if they don't cross there arms and you clap you are out. After that we played another game named the Vader the rules of this game was there will be 2 equal teams and each team had to decide who would be the Vader that would be in the hoop then there would be everyone that would be trying to get the balls and getting the persuading by getting the people out and persuading the Vader and getting the Vader out.

Kiwi Sport

This week LS1 went to kiwi sport. This weeks kiwi sport we played rippa rugby. First we had to get into  partners then we had to number our selfs 1 to 2. after that number 1's had to stand up and go wear a a bib. First we had to play a game named every body's it. after that we played another game named ball tag. after that we had to get into a line then we had to reach up to the green bib and each team would have a ball and they have to give the ball to the other person and once you have given it to the person next to you then you have to run at the back.

Maori

This week LS1 went to Maori. We learnt about how to make our Pipi ha. First we had to make a slide. Next LS1 had to write about your name in Maori. Then LS1 had to write about were live and the names of your parents

The nervous system


L.I: To plan and write an explanation. This week I did a writing session. This weeks writing session I had to make an explanation about nerves. First we had to make a copy of a link  and put our planing on. Next we had to make Title,Introduction,Explanation and Conclusion (T.I.E.C.)

Kiwi Can

L.I Is to learn what is integrity. This week LS1 group B went to kiwi can. First we had  to get into three lines. Then after that we had to spread out and get ready for a game,The rules of the game is that you had to follow the actions to someone but opposite. Then we had to go outside and play The game Terminator tag, the game works by everyone is in and if someone tags someone they have to sit down and the person that taged you and got taged then you can get back up again and go tag other people. Then after that we had to get into 2 lines and go back kiwi can. Last we played a game named GKQ the rules of the game is to get into a circle and there would be a leader of the game and will call up  the first 4 people and give them a question and then you would be given a buzzer for an example MOO and chicken, who ever says the buzzer fist they could get the chance to answer if it is wrong or correct,but if you get wrong then the person that sayed the buzzer second after the player that got t wrong they got to answer.                                                                                                                                                                              

The divider

L.I split division problems into parts using known multiplication and division facts. This week I  did a maths session. This weeks maths session was all about division and how to split it to make it easy to solve. First we had to go on a link named the divider. Then we had to choose a question to solve by our selves. Then you could split or just answer it straight away but I would choose to split it to make it easy.

Then after that we had to include an audio or video recording of you speaking.
