How does a periscope works?

L.I: Is to explain how a periscope works.

Mr Johnston came and taught us what periscopes are, and how they are used and who uses them. We found out that the angel of incidents = angel of reflection. That means if the light hits the mirror at a 45 degrees it reflects the light back at 45 degrees. I found this fun because I got to learn so much fun things about what a periscope does and I actually got to work one.

  1. Hi Matthew,

I really enjoyed reading your blog - post. It looks really cool, learning about how a periscope works and how to work one. Its also really cool that you got to do fun things when learning. I've also done this task and it was super fun. Have you noticed if you look at the other side of the periscope, it gives a different effect? Did you know anything about the periscope before learning about it?

Great Job Matthew and keep up the work!

    1. Thank you Chris for the lovely feedback, and yes I have looked on the other side of the periscope. It was really weird because everyone was so big. It almost looked like they could touch the roof. I also did know stuff about a periscope before i got given more info about it. I got taught a long time ago that it was mostly used for seeing above something so that they couldn't spot you, for an example a submarine. They use the periscope to look above the water.

  2. Greetings Matthew!
I have really enjoyed reading your DLO about periscopes. A periscope sounds really fun and cool. I have also used a periscope and thought it was really fun. If you were in WW1-2, would you use a periscope? Why or Why not?

    Keep up the great work!
