This week for the summer learning journey week 1 day 2 activity. I had to wright a DLO about my culture. The really interesting thing that i learnt about this was how I come from the village afoli which is the capital of Nuie.
I have really enjoyed reading your blog post about where you and your family come from. It was interesting to found out that you guys but on oil on yourself when you dance so the elders can come and but money on you and it will stick. Something l think you should change next time is your blurb because it is kind of short. Either than that l enjoyed your little joke which was buying lollies and KFC with the money the elders but on you. Great Job and Keep it up
It’s me again, Mani! I had no idea you were Niuean, that is so cool. There are quite a few people in your class who are Niuean too. I really enjoyed reading through your blog post and found it interesting that your culture has some of the same traditions as mine which is Tongan. Have you ever danced in front of the elders?
I love the colours you used and like how you used an image of the Niuean flag! Please don't forget to attribute your images. This is when you say where you got your photos from. Here is the link if you don't know how.
We give out full marks when you attribute your photos!
Malo e lelei Matthew! It was really interesting to learn about your culture. That's so cool you know a lot about where you come from, I'm Tongan but I don't know much about my villages. We also LOVE to dance in Tonga, and I wonder how sticking money on the dancers became a thing in pacific places? Great work!

Hi Matthew, I liked how you described your village as lovely and told us the capital of Niue, I didn't know that it's called Alofi. I found it interesting that you have a ceremony where you dance in front of your elders and get free money because of it. Have your taken part in the ceremony?
Kia ora Matthew
