Leaf art
For the home learning we had to use our creative thinking to design an animal made out of leafs. For this task i made a giraffe. I am so proud of it because i thought most people would try and find pictures of that animal made out of leaves but i stick to my mind and just did that is why i am so proud of it. I got really creative, so when i saw that the giraffes mouth open i thought i should put a tree there so it could look like its trying to eat. I am going to tell you 3 interesting facts about the beautiful creature.
1. Giraffes have the longest necks in the world.
2. Did you know that a group of giraffes are called a tower?
3. Did you know that giraffes mostly spend their lives standing up? They sleep standing up and give birth standing up.

Then we had a task on making a new mascot for the sky tower so we combined our knowledge together to make our own. After that we chose a place in the sky tower that is exiting so we chose the bungy jump. We chose this one because it could be a fascinating thing to talk about on.

When I first went to Rainbows End I went into the kingdom and I had a blast. So this DLO tells you about the location and the reason we have height restrictions and the price of a family pass.

Kiwi Can
This week for kiwi can we learnt about being a role model. We started of with our energiser named hammer it. The rules of this game is to have a partner with one hand on top of each of your hands making your hands separated from each other. Then there would be 3 actions up, down and hammer it, so if the person says up then the person that is on the bottom has to go on top. Then if the person says down then the person on top of the stakes of the hands has to got to the bottom of the stake of hands.but when the person who is calling out the signs says hammer it the person at the top of stake of hands has to try and hit the persons hands that is at the bottom of the person at the tops hand. Then we talked about who our role model is which i chose my mum because she has been there since day 1 she has cared for me and has done everything, and i am trying re pay her back for the money that she has lost to put a roof over heads to keep me from being cold and so on. Then we carried on playing another game named picture it. This game is when you have to get into a even group and there would be one person saying out words that you have to make out of your group.Like for an example if the person calling it out say car then everyone in your group has to try and use there bodies to make that thing. Then last we did another game named GKQ where there would be 2 even groups where the first people from each line has to stand up and answer a question, and who ever gets it wrong then the next person from the other line has to stand until all the people from one line has every line answered a question. But for today we had an even amount of girls and boys but the girls won

L.I To consider two sides of a provocation. This week we have been exploring two sides of a provocation. A provocation is a action or a speech that trigger emotion or feeling. Our provocation is That if nz should be a cashless society. after considering both perspectives we think that we should not do this because people might need the money to survive, like what if they only have 20 dollars on there card.

Leadership
This week for kiwi can we talked about how to be a leader and how to be confident. First we started with our energiser called bop it. Bop it is a game where you have to try and copy the moves and not do the wrong one or be the last one to do the move. Next we were talking about being confident and how we can be confident. To be confident you need to take risks, try your best and overcome your fears. After we played our activity called bowchickawow. It is a game where you have to copy the next persons moves. When you do the first persons move, you have to copy it and add a move. Then we moved on to talking about how to be a good leader. Being a good leader to us is being responsible and being a role model.

Places named by early explorers.
This week for inquiry our topic for this task was all about Captain Cook, Kupe and Abel Tasman. This task was about the places around the world that was name by Kupe, Captain Cook and Abel Tasman. This was a very interesting challenge because of how there are a lot of places named after them that i didn't know. The reason places are named because it could be for friends, important people and physical appearance. Did you know that taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu is the longest place in New Zealand not just that it is also the long est word in the owrld.

Past and Present
This week for reading we were learning about kupe and captain cook. This was a collaborative task which we had to work in our reading groups. For this we had to figure out the problems that occurred to Kupe and Cooks voyage to Aotearoa. The one thing that I liked about this challenge was that we all had the same idea so we all thought the same thing and how we all took turns sharing our ideas on what we think the problems were about Kupe and Cooks voyage.

Kiwi Can
This week for kiwi can we were learning about positive communication. We started of with a game named up and down, so there would be 2 teams and cones scattered in between both teams. One team would have to try and get as many cones downwards and the other teams has to try and get as many cones upwards. The next game we played was called street fighters, the point of this game was there were 5 numbers that represented each moves and so the person who is calling out those numbers would have to try mix them up so the people that are playing could get mixed up, but with the people that are playing that would have to try and do the moves first before the other person does it.
