Places named by early explorers.
This week for inquiry our topic for this task was all about Captain Cook, Kupe and Abel Tasman. This task was about the places around the world that was name by Kupe, Captain Cook and Abel Tasman. This was a very interesting challenge because of how there are a lot of places named after them that i didn't know. The reason places are named because it could be for friends, important people and physical appearance. Did you know that taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu is the longest place in New Zealand not just that it is also the long est word in the owrld.
