How does a periscope works?

L.I: Is to explain how a periscope works.

Mr Johnston came and taught us what periscopes are, and how they are used and who uses them. We found out that the angel of incidents = angel of reflection. That means if the light hits the mirror at a 45 degrees it reflects the light back at 45 degrees. I found this fun because I got to learn so much fun things about what a periscope does and I actually got to work one.

Facts about Light

L.I: To share 5 facts about light that we found interesting.

Light is so fascinating, light can be absorbed it can bounce and all sorts of thing we could imagian. With this DLO me and my partner Rj talked about 5 interesting facts that you might of not known. This DLO was one real quick because of all the knowledge that we were given since we were learning the different kind of things light can do. The thing that I liked about doing this task is that I got to work with a person that I never work with and actually get to know him.

NZ Histor Timeline

NZ has a lot of history from the treaty of waitangi to corona virus . This week for reading we started on making a timeline about NZ history. All the information that we gathered I never knew about NZ. The thing that I liked about this reading task is that we got to do this with our group meaning we had the same level of skill in reading and will have the same understanding of the topic.

Calendar Maths Problem

LI: To find the most efficient strategy to solve the problem.

For term 2 week 10 of maths we had a new challenge that we had to do. We worked in groups of 3 which in my group was Azatula, Chris and I. The question had involved multiplication and division, this maths equation was really easy since we have done one of these questions before. The thing that I liked about this task is that I got to work with my friends and have fun at the same time.

 I have used statistical information on my blog to help me set a goal for 2020. Before I can publish a blog post I need to complete the task. I worked the average number of posts I made for each month and used this data to set a realistic and achievable blogging goal.

                                          

Tragedy at Tangiwai

L.I: Is to Understand the story about the Tragedy At Tangiwai.

A book which was about New Zealand was so neat I learnt a lot about it. The things that I learnt about this story (Tragedy at Tangiwai) is that there was a big disaster there. As Christmas eve was arriving there was a horrible crash that happened and a lot of people survived and also some passed. This train was heading to Auckland from Wellington. But a man named Cyril Ellis was so brave and did his best to save as many people as possible with the help of William Inglils.

LI: Is to understand the disasters around the world.

      

The world is so fascinating, going around the world you can see so much things. So with my smart research I had to find out different places in the world telling us different things for and example reference to someone important, impact, emotions and more. I found out a lot of things that i never knew about which was so interesting because I got to know about the world.

PBS Livestream

During level 2 lock down at school we were introduced with a livestream. The livestream was talking about how we should stay safe during lock down and how we might be going to level 1. Well this was happening I was the camera man so I was turning the camera to look. This week was a really fun livestream because of how we had more people at school so it could be more easy and simple for all of us.

Tech (Robotics)

L.I: Is to understand how to sense a mbot.

                       

As for term 2 for tech we started to make a mbots sense. With coding we had to make the mbot avoid hitting somebody or something. We had to use a variety of codes to make it, but we had some clues from Mrs Ferguson but it was just the parts and then we had to figure out how to place it together. Cityscape of Rio De Janeiro

L.I: Is to write a description of my Cityscape using preposition.

Not many people know that Rio really means January River, or that  the river is actually a bay! The most prominent features of Rio is Christ The Redeemer, also one of the 7 wonders of the world, and is on the right of my cityscape. The wonderful towers on the left of Christ the Redeemer is the Municipal Theatre which is an opera house in the Centro district of this country. Did you know that Rio is home to the biggest urban forest in the world? If you take the time to look at this wonderful statue of Christ The Redeemer, sometimes you would wonder how long would of it take to build the beautiful statue. With my painting I used warm colors because I wanted to try go for a sun set because I thought that would look really neat with my cityscape. I also mixed red and yellow with made kind of a faded orange then added white to make it more lighter and for the bottom bit I mixed purple and red to make pink colour, and I was so proud of it on how it turned out.

As for maths we started to understand how to use exponents. Exponents is a type of maths problem says how many times to use the number in a multiplication. Most of these questions were really difficult but the strategie that I used was really helpful and got me to getting all of the question correct. The thing that I liked about this task was that it was a challenge and was really easy.
