Law of inertia
Why is it important to make wise choices?
Why is it important to make wise choices?
Imagine being a sea creature and seeing a piece of rubbish but not knowing what it is and eating it. So many people don't think when it comes to throwing their rubbish in the bin. Therefore if you don't throw your rubbish in the bin it will end up floating in the ocean for the next sea animal to suffer in pain.
Pollution can kill more than 50 thousand animals each year, as a result every 10 years around 500 thousand animals die. To prevent this from happening we need to use our brain and pick up any rubbish that's around you and put it in the bin. We have been so disrespectful and not knowing about our actions towards the sea animals, so we need to change the way we think right now.
Animals across the world are suffering from how much rubbish there is in the ocean, as a result turtles, seagulls and other sea animals will consume our rubbish or even get stuck in it because of our useless actions. There are bins for a reason, so it could keep our environment a safe place for our sea animals and birds.
But it's not just our actions that cause the risk of animals dying; it could be a volcanic eruption which its ashes can lead to sea creatures getting crushed by them and dieing. Pollution is a global problem which can affect our earth as well. Pollution can come from so many places like drains, rivers and strong currents that can carry all the rubbish that was in their waters and carries it into the ocean.
There are three main major types of pollution like air pollution, water pollution and land pollution so rubbish is basically everywhere. These three types of pollution can cause so much damage to our environment even ourselves, so this is why we need to stop polluting and think about the risk we are taking. Everyday at least 100 people die of pollution which is really bad for families and friends.
There are over 12 million tons of rubbish floating in our oceans every year. This must be a struggle for the animals in the ocean, and one day turtles, fish and other sea animals could go extinct from the way we are acting. Do you think we should carry on with throwing rubbish in the ocean, OF COURSE NOT we need to keep our oceans clean and safe and remember that it could cause big harm to us humans as well.

L.I: To use transitional vocabulary
This week for writing we I learnt a lot about the world and the disaster about rubbish in our oceans. My explanation that I made explains to others the situation around the world and how we need to fix it. I really liked this task because it make everyone to think the way i think we need to so we can save sea animals. The thing that I really liked about this task is how we got to write about anything that the world is struggling on.

Who I will vote for
To decide which political party I would vote for I read a summary of the policies each party wants to introduce should they win the election and the right to form a government to run NZ. Doing this allowed me to make an informed decision. If I was 18 I would vote for Labour because they are willing to upgrade hospitals so it could help people in Aotearoa with the virus. This means if Labour Won the election in my electorate Jenny Salesa would be our member of parliament and Jacinda ardern would become the Prime Minister.

DARE to make a choice
In this DLO above, Sulia and I have worked Collaboratively on this DLO. This DLO is 'Dare to make a choice'. In this DLO, we have explained the consequences that come with drugs, the side effects, why it is important to make wise choices and legal and illegal drugs. In one of our learning sessions, we had learned the legal and illegal drugs. We had been given 6 scenario's(connected to drugs), which in groups, we had decided what the consequences would be. We had also learnt about the 3 different drug classes is when getting caught by the police. We were really shocked of about the amount of money and time was spent in prison. I really enjoyed this activity because it showed me the consequences of making bad choices.

History behind Maori language week
Maori app
L.I: Is to make an app that is based on maroi language week.
This week in New Zealand is maori language week which we celebrated with making an app and doing other challenges. This app is based on maori question which consists of naming foods, the time, months and NZ place names. We worked in groups for this since apps take a long time to process. We ended up learning all these words by searching them up on the maori dictionary which has really good since we don't know that much maori. The thing that I liked about this task was how we got to make it super efficient.

Footprint Observations
This week for science, we were learning about observations. An observation is the action of observing or watching the behavior of something. We decided to try to guess what happened by reading pictures, or trying to guess what happened by looking at the pictures. We had three different observations to guess. The first one had big prints, and little prints next to each other. We thought and guessed that it was a mother and it's baby. The second one had two different prints, crossing over each other, and the all going around in a circle. We thought they were fighting, or making a home. We finished and all agreed it was a fight, because only the big tracks were coming out, and not the little ones. The last one had the same except they both went into a circle, but didn't leave. We thought they both hurt themselves, or made a house, because the tracks didn't leave, but instead stayed there. We all agreed again, that they stayed the night there, and made a house. this activity was fun.
MRSCGREN
Our body's has a lot of qualities and different features. This week we were learning about the qualities of different living things which is MRS C GREN. This means Movement, Respiration, sensitivity, cell, growth, reproduction, excretion and nutrients. We had to explain the meaning of these different words and explain how the process works with living things. The thing that I liked about this task was how I got work in a group with my friends instead of explaining all those words.

Tech Reflextion
This term for tech we rotated to a different station. We went on to food tech with Mrs Hecka, cooking fried rice with partners. The main ingredients in this fired rice is chicken, rice and vegetables. We also added some seasoning to give it a little flavour. The thing that I really liked about this was how we got to create our own food from scratch. It also meant that we could be able to eat it and enjoy it.

Duffy books at school.
After the level 3 lockdown we got our duffy books. Duffy books are at least given every term at Panmure bridge school. The thing that I really like about this is how I got to get my favorite books which I mostly liked, Amulet 7. I have been reading this series for a long time and have been waiting until I got to read this part of the story. I just want to say a big thanks to duffy for giving us the chance to get our books over the past few years.

There are so many people who are famous because of there painting. The famous person that we were researching was about Vincent Van Gough and the paintings he did. Vincent Van Gough used to be an artist where he used to sell his paintings and selling on a few. But then one day 1 year before his death he created one of the best paintings which sold for a lot of money. The thing that I like about was how I got to collaborate with my friends and get to know a lot about Vincent Van Dough.
