Hover Bike advertisement.
This week for writing we were continuing to complete our advertising DLO's. I was working in a group three with Matthew and Giovanni. At first we decided to make a Movie, but we realised that was to hard so we made a poster. We could either choose to make an advertisement about Rugby World Cup merchandise or a Hoverbike.

Pitch maths
As for maths we worked really well using our collaborative skills on achieving to getting our work done. It was a lot of work but as we negotiate our thinking to one an another we finished the task. My group was Giovanni, Karlos and I. I think that we should try and work on our word problem.

RWC Stadium Capacities
We came across a lot of hard questions but of course we didn't do it by our self's. We worked out all the questions but some were easy at the same time especially the last one. It took us a while to figure out the question but we got there at the end and figuring the easiest method to complete this task.

Let me tell you about my Favorited cultural celebration
Let me tell you about my Favourite cultural celebration which is matariki. I am always excited when matariki comes up which is 25 June, 2020. We celebrate this at panmure, Auckland. It is the best Because when it is the afternoon for dinner, we have a BBQ and all my family bring a chair and form a circle and look up to see all the stars. We also have to greet people in our culture which is niuean and say, "Fakaalofa atu". We usually have ribs, chicken, coleslaw and other foods. We also do cultural dance to celebrate this event and men wear flaked pants and girls wear traditional skirts and the adults do values. If we do a dance people come up on the stage and give you money which would be in your t-shirts, so in my opinion is the best because you can spend it on lollies or new equipment. They also put down lava lava's down. We can also sneak some lollies if we wanted to. matariki is the best just thinking about it just gets me hipped for next matatriki, because my family comes together and have the best time of our lives.

This week we learnt a lot about commas. We learnt that commas can separate the date/year and introduce people. I really liked this activity because it got me to use a lot more commas then i use to use, and gives other people breaks rest.

International News
Learning about the world is really fascinating that's why my task was to mark negative to odd stuff around the world. I learnt a lot of stuff well doing this like how a Chinese company cloned a cat or how Former Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe has died. I really liked this activity because I got to learn more about the world.

Pop-up globe Visit
On Friday we got a big surprise from pop-up globe. They had talked about the acts / plays they do. As they were talking about the plays we got excited. They gave us an example of a William Shakespeare sentence. They told us how long plays were (around 2 hours). Did you know that William Shakespeare wrote over 20 plays? People could be in the play called the fourth wall.

Exploring our national current events.
News editors make decisions everyday about which current events stories they will run. we explored the different types of current events that are happening in NZ, thought about why the story's made the news and plotted the location on a google map.

Should NZ ban Plastic Straws?
Plastic straws could be really useful for having a good drink without spilling it on you, but in my opinion we should ban them. Like think about it is effecting our sea creatures by people not being bothered to throw there rubbish in the bin which is decreasing the population of sea animals. Imagian you being a turtle and you see a plastic straw and eat it and you relies that, it was a bad dissension to eat the plastic straw, so then your air ways get blocked you can't Breath! then someone relies that you have pass.
Did you know that plastic straw take 500 years to biodegrade. From my calculations when it arrives to 2050 there would more plastic then sea creatures in our oceans if you keep on leaving your rubbish on the floor then the population of plastic will decrees the population of sea creatures until they become extinct. If this is effecting our sea life then we should stop and use reusable straws. I know plastic straws can be useful in all but it is really causing a very big disaster to our oceans. You couldn't be able to go to the beach because of all the pollution in the sea or even fish because it could be most likely for you to get a piece of rubbish instead of a fish.
Do you like fishing do you like going to the beach do you like being fascinated by sea creatures. Then Just stop just stop throwing rubbish into our oceans you would be dieng to go to the beach to surf some narly waves but you cant because you there are to much rubbish in our oceans.
So please just please don't throw plastic straws or any type of plastic away because they might be useful to build yourself a mini house of a big cat mansion or even a catapult to launch objects at you Lego. I am just saying this because I want all our oceans to be safe especially our sea creatures.
